The Lord Jesus is God and I am thankful for knowing this truth which breaks every chain and allows us as followers of Christ to walk and live with authority and without fear. This week my lense captured an image of a shriveled rose. Not only was t

hat Rose shrivelled but there were spots on the leaf and the other steps had died and this was the only sign of life left on this rose. To grow a thrive a rose and many plants for that matter need sunlight and more importantly water.
Water represents life, we know this based on the story of the woman at the well who Jesus asked for water from. And she questioned why he was asking her because he was Jew and her samaritan. Jesus replied to her saying, John 4:10
“If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
So Jesus has the ability of giving water that is eternal. Water that will quench the thirst forever. This is what he was telling the samaritan woman that if she knew and believed in him she would ask him for that water because it is what we all long as living beings. Me, you, our animals and even the plants. There is rain and sunshine yet a rose can not live forever. There is a constant thirst that inhibits her and us that can only be filled with eternal life. And that life only comes from God the giver of life.
Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. 25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created thesethings, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth
